Stick Horse

The youth at my church are putting on a short skit this weekend. One of the scenes has a few cowboys. Well what's a cowboy without his horse? I looked around online and found a great source. Over at ikat bag, there is a great tutorial on how to make a horse. I whipped it up one night and had one of our YW make the other. They are really cute and super easy to put together. I used felt for the body, nose, and ears, buttons for eyes, yarn for the hair, rope for the bridle, and then stuffed that puppy (er, horse) with polyfill. I got the stick from Home Depot.

The kids even like it too! I'll have to cut the stick shorter for them, but at least they'll have a fun toy when this play business is over.
